Abstract: Roger G. Barker, a pioneer researcher in the field of ecological (enviromental) psychology, began his tenure at the University of Kansas as chairman of the department of psychology in 1947. That same year, he also established the Midwest Psychological Field Station in Oskaloosa, Kansas. Barker retired from KU in 1971. His papers include autobiography drafts and biographical information, professional correspondence, 1980s, and lecture notes and research regarding educational psychology, children and adolescents, and ecological and somatopsychology, 1940s and 1960s. Barker died in Oskaloosa, Kansas, in September 1990.
