Anderson recieved his B.A. in 1932, his M.A. in 1934, and his Ph.D. in 1949, all in Education and all from the University of Minnesota. He joined the faculty of KU in 1950, reaching full Professor status in 1952. He was also Dean of the School of Education in 1953. He retired in 1981 and died in 1985.
