Albrecht gave two collections to Spencer's Special Collections department. Albrecht I contains legal documents and two unbound illuminated liturgical leaves from 1375 and 1501-1689. BIOGRAPHY of William Albrecht

Albrecht received his B.S. from the Carnegie Institute in 1929, his M.A. from Pittsburgh in 1934, and his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in 1943. He joined the faculty of KU in the Department of English in 1957 and served as the Dean of the Graduate School in 1965. He retired in 1977 and died in 1987.
