SCOPE and CONTENTS

Letter written by C.C. Andrews in Fort Leavenworth to his friend, William Pierce in Boston on September 11, 1854. In the letter Mr. Andrews describes the climate, gives a brief description of the area and discusses the slavery issue; in particular the pro-slavery people from Missouri plan to cross the border to vote in the Kansas election.
