HISTORY of Oak Hill Cemetary

Oak Hill Cemetery was developed during the turbulent years following Quantrill's raid on the city of Lawrence. Many of the city's most prominent people have been buried there. This history provides a detailed description of the methodology used by the townspeople of Lawrence to plan a cemetery which would be considered a thing of beauty and would serve the city for years to come.
